As part of Generation Y, you grew up with messages like “Anything is possible” and “The sky’s the limit!” But like so many twentysomethings, you might feel overwhelmed by myriad choices and daunting economic challenges.

Confusion to Clarity is all about YOU—the reader—discovering yourself, identifying what you want, and connecting with others as you turn your dreams into reality, one small step at a time. Full of eye-opening stories, revealing analysis, and actionable exercises, this book is an invaluable resource to both twentysomethings and the Baby Boomer parents who raised them.

Written for twenty somethings or thirty, forty yes even fifty somethings at a time when you need to decide...what's next? It's reassuring if you're feeling overwhelmed by too many choices or if you need to reinvent yourself and feel your choices are limited. The real life stories help you to see yourself. The thought provoking questions at the end of the chapters are few but insightful. This is a must read for all ages especially with graduation season upon us and a weakened job market. I loved it and have given it as gifts to soon to be college graduates.

Confusion to Clarity The Twentysomething Guide to Finding Your Calling edition by Ann Elizabeth Grace SelfHelp eBooks Reviews

The writer gets right to the issues of the twenty-something within the first few pages of the book. With this base, Grace paves the way for a more intimate connection than any "normal" self-help book could do. One may think it is just about finding a calling, but it is so much more. The unexpected twists are the various topics that show how every aspect of life is so intricately intertwined. I thought I was just going to figure out what I wanted to do for a career, and what I really did was see how I wanted to do it, understand that process, and what kinds of people I would like to surround myself with. Highly recommend it!
If you're like me, the term "self-help book" sends an involuntary shudder of repulsion down your spine. But as a confused and occasionally anxious twenty-something, I've been looking for advice on finding my path in life that doesn't come from my similarly aimless twenty-something friends, or from my overbearing family members who mostly tell me to "Stop floundering!"

How incredible, then, to discover From Confusion to Clarity; an honest, smart, and never patronizing little book that was amazingly helpful in getting me to sort out what I want my life to be, and also in learning not to stress too much but to trust in my own instincts. It's a rare self-help book in that it's not trying to push religion, make you buy something, or tell you you need to conform to a norm. From Confusion to Clarity puts the power back in your own hands to decide what you want your life to be like, and grounds its advice in solid research on the mentality of my generation, Gen Y.

Plus it's a fun read! The stories are very entertaining and inspirational, and the exercises are fun and well laid out. I am recommending this book to all my friends and I hope you consider giving it a try.
I really love this book.

I'm well past my twentysomethings, but I picked it up anyway because going from "Confusion to Clarity" sounds great at any age. I am so glad I did, and wish it had been available to me a long time ago.

It is a great guide to getting where you WANT to be from wherever you ARE. It's unusual in that it's both very practical and uplifting at the same time - like a really fun personal workout trainer on the stair-stepper of life; inspiring, encouraging, explaining, and guiding you through each little step of the way to building a fulfilling and meaningful life for yourself.

The topic coverage is broad and yet each chapter manages to be specific and very personal. This is done through sections of thought-provoking material sprinkled with true stories, followed by a set of focusing questions you ask yourself to get right to the heart of your own identity and situation and dreams.

For instance, there are passages on recognizing the need for a personal calling, and on recognizing your own personal calling, and if you are having trouble recognizing it, how to draw it out with specific strategies. There are steps and questionnaires to help you handle finances and move toward a healthy relationship with money. All throughout there are true anecdotes about people in their twenties facing what seemed like abject failure or unhappiness, or perfect situations that were nonetheless without meaning, and finding that these situations were pointing the way to the fulfillment of a true calling. The book points out at each step how these young people practically approached finding their calling and then building a career around it.

So you can see I really liked "Confusion to Clarity". I think lots of other people will like it too.
From Confusion to Clarity is a book that was written with love and care; it's clear that Ann has gone through her own transformation in her twenties and is sharing her knowledge, as well as in-depth interviews and research for the sake of helping others find clarity and connection in their lives. The book is easy to read, warm and comforting -- it's almost like Ann is sitting with you at the dinner table (or on the phone) - speaking her wise words out loud. The book covers a wide swath of important topics -- everything from dating to self-respect and self-esteem. For anyone looking for guidance and direction, this book is a wonderful companion. Ann's internal beauty and grace shine through every page.
Great book. Good insight.
I found this book to be well written and clear. The author covers all of the areas that are important in our life work, career change, family, friends... It is also very insightful and is a great tool for those of us trying to figure out what we want out of life.
I'm 25 and I'm trying to find my way through life. This is the second twenty something book that I have read and it seems like I'm finding more and more clarity. Thanks to the author for helping us lost minds out. Lol
